Student Who Was Blocked From Sitting UCE Exams Wants Headmaster Arrested

George William Eronda, a senior four student who was expelled from Namilyango College and consequently blocked from sitting the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams has asked court to issue arrest warrants for the school headmaster and board chairman.

On Tuesday, Eronda filed an application seeking arrest warrants against the school headmaster,  Constantine Mpuuga Sajjabi and the school’s board chairman, Mr Richard Kayondo for allegedly defying a court order issued by Mukono High Court deputy registrar Ms Harriet Nalukwago. 

Court ordered that the student sits for the exams. 

The exams started on Monday, October 14, 2019.

After receiving their application on Tuesday afternoon, Nalukwago advised the student to serve the respondents by October 16 ahead of a hearing at 2pm for hearing.
