Uganda Cranes hit the bet twice to win against Malawi during the TOTAL Afcon 2021 group B qualifier played at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on Sunday.
The two goals were scored by Emma Okwi and Fahad Boyo.
Namboole stadium was largely empty but that didn’t kill the inspiration of the Uganda Cranes team. Okwi hit the net only 29 minutes of play time. The score stalled until the 68th minute when Bayo saw the net again.
Uganda Cranes now stand at the top of Group B with four points while Malawi comes second with three points.
In the other game of the same group, Burkina Faso beat South Sudan 2-0 in Khartoum
