The Catholic Church has drafted a budget of Shs950 million to organize for this year’s Martyrs Day celebrations come June.

The celebrations will be led by Masaka Diocese this time round. During the New Year mass at Rubaga Cathedral on Wednesday, Masaka Diocesan Bishop Rev. Msgr Severus Jjumba told a congregation that the money will be used for security, utilities and other things needed throughout the week-long celebrations.

The Catholic Church used 900M last year.

The money is generated through fundraising drives.
