President Museveni is set to make a public address on issues regarding homosexuality in the country.
It is reported that the President promised to make a public address on the matter, after discussing it with UNAIDS’ Executive Director Winnie Byanyima.
Byanyima met with the President Yoweri Museveni at State House in Entebbe, and according to her, they discussed deeply about the issue of human rights and the rights of gay people in Uganda.
New Vision carried a story on Wednesday suggesting that the President had spoken harshly about homosexuality. Byanyima took to her Twitter to dismiss the news saying that it was not factual.
In 2014 the President was in support of the 2014 Anti-gay law.
