The Ministry of Health has revealed that the results from the suspected case from Kanungu who presented with signs and symptoms similar to Coronavirus (COVID-19) have tested negative.

Uganda has not registered any case of coronavirus since the outbreak in China and subsequent spread to different nations.

Neighbouring countries; Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo have all registered cases of coronavirus. In Rwanda, one of the patients is a Ugandan who recently travelled from London

27 African countries have reported Coronavirus cases in Africa.

Of all the cases reported in Africa, only 2 deaths have been confirmed in Africa with one from Egypt and another from Morocco as of 16th March 2020.
