President Museveni will today evening address the country to give an update on the Covid-19 situation, the Presidential Press Secretary Don Wanyama has revealed.

The televised address is set to take place at 8 PM.

According to Wanyama, the President will offer more guidelines on what to do to stem the spread of coronavirus. The number has been going up since the index case was registered a week or so ago.

Uganda currently has 33 cases confirmed. All patients are undergoing treatment, and according to the Ministry of Health, they are all responding well to treatment.

Previously the President suspended public transport, public gatherings and closed borders, among other things.
