Ntungamo Municipality Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Gerald Karuhanga has threatened to run to court again over 40 million allegedly given to MPs.
While addressing journalists at the parliamentary chambers on Friday, May 16, Karuhanga revealed that over 317 legislators were given a token of 40 million each as an appreciation for supporting the motion to recognize President Museveni for the steady fast management of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Similarly, Karuhanga blamed the government for continuing to rob tax payer’s monies while playing cheap politics.
The money is said to have been given to MPs clandestinely at Kati Kati restaurant.
The legislator’s revelation comes at a time parliament has been in the spotlight over the 20 million bonanza that was given to each Member of Parliament to fight the novel coronavirus disease, a move that triggered national fury.
