Uganda Police Headquarters Closed Over Rising Covid19 Cases

Uganda Police headquarters and the National Security Command Centre in Naguru have been closed off in fear as Covid19 cases and deaths in Kampala area rise.

This was announced on Monday morning by the forces spokesperson Fred Enanga who said the premises would be closed off for three days to allow decontamination, fumigation and testing of all staffers.

During this period, Enanga said members of the public and other staffers not attached to the premises will not be allowed to access it.

The Police mouth piece further hinted on the Force’s plans to conduct a countrywide testing of all Police officers to ensure their safety and that of the people they serve.

The exercise follows Sunday’s news of Police Chief Political Commissar AIGP Asan Kasingye who tested positive for Covid19.

He has since gone into isolation.
