Police has fired tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse supporters of opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) candidate for the position of Member of Parliament Kira Municipality, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda.

Ssemujju who is also the FDC spokesperson was being escorted by a procession in two trucks while other cars and motor bikes followed.

Police had previously warned all Parliamentary contestants against holding procession which are against the Covid19 SOPs.

By publication time, there was still a standoff between Police and the supporters in Kira Town.
