Kira Road District Police Commissioner – DPC Matthias Turyasingura has died.

Turyasingura, according to Police died on Tuesday at Mulago Hospital where he had been admitted in Intensive Care Unit.

Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire confirmed that the no nonsense DPC succumbed to Covid 19.

Born in Kabale, South Western Uganda, Turyasingura completed his training from Kaweweta from where he was posted at Kira Road Police station.

At Kira Road Police, Turyasingura had replaced Herbert Nuwagaba.

Before his death, Turyasingura served Police for 14 years.
