Murushid Juuko Returns to Vipers

Uganda Premier League champions Vipers have confirmed signing defender Murushid Juuko.

Juuko returns to Vipers for the first time since his departure after the in 2013.

He has signed a two-year deal at Kitende as the club continues preparations for the upcoming 2022/23 season.

“I have a fantastic history with this amazing club. I started my career here when l was young and of course I’m so happy to be back home after 9 years. So I’m really glad and looking forward to giving my best for this club once again,” Juuko told Vipers Media.

“I think it’s the best decision that I have made. It’s right on point in my opinion.

“I moved from Express FC now to Vipers SC, it’s a new chapter, I’m so happy and glad, and I want to carry on again, to make history, to try to help the Venoms achieve great results, to make a mark again.”

He had a good spell during his two-year stay at Express where his pairing with Isa Lumu in the heart of defence brought UPL and CECAFA titles in a single season.

Juuko is the Club’s eighth signing in the ongoing transfer window – They previously unveiled Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Osomba, Abubakar Lawal, Isa Mubiru, Marvin Joseph Youngman, Ashraf Mandela and Abdu Lumala.

The former Uganda Cranes defender joins Vipers with vast experience having featured for Victoria University, Simba (Tanzania) and Wydad Casablanca (Morocco).
