South Sudan: Kiir Fires Water Ministry Undersecretary

President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Monday night sacked the undersecretary in the National Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation and announced a replacement.

In a decree read on the state broadcaster, South Sudan Broadcasting Cooperation (SSBC), Kiir fired Emmanuel Ladu Parmenas Lupai from his position in the ministry.

The President’s decree further announced Peter Mahal Dhieu Akat as the new undersecretary in the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation.

The president’s decree didn’t specify any reasons why Ladu was fired.
