Opposition Members of Parliament have Monday afternoon walked out of Parliament during the the hearing of the Age Limit bill.

Leader of Opposition in Parliament MP Winnie Kiiza asked that the Suspended MPs be allowed to return to the house or else all the opposition MPs would walk out.

What followed was all opposition MPs walking out of the house.

Meanwhile police officers were already deployed that the entrance of the house and in different positions around Parliament.

On Monday morning, Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga suspended opposition Members of Parliament, MP Semujju Nganda, Allan Sewanyana, Mubarak Munyagwa, Jonathan Odur, and Gerald Karuhanga for disrupting the special session on the Age Limit Bill.

Kadaga ordered the MPs not to return to the chambers in the 2:00PM session.

By publication time, Legal Affairs Committee Chairperson Jacob Oboth Oboth had resumed presenting the committee’s report in the Age Limit bill.
