Police has Monday evening shot and killed the driver of Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi.

Hon Kyagulanyi who is popularly known by his stage name Bobi Wine was in Arua to rally support for Kasiano Wadri who is vying for Arua Municipality MP seat.

The seat was formerly held by the late Ibrahim Abiriga who was shot dead a few months back.

According to Bobi Wine, Police thought they were shooting at him only to kill his driver.

“Police has shot my driver dead thinking they’ve shot at me,” the legislator wrote on his twitter timeline.

The drivers name remains unknown.

Bobi Wine further revealed that his hotel has been surrounded by Police and Special Forces Command.
