Veteran broadcaster Dick Mulima Ssempaka, known by many as Uncle Dick, of Star TV and Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC), has passed on.
Dick Mulima Ssempaka was popular for his Star FM show Uncle Dick Live Show.
Joining UTV (now UBC TV) while still a student, Ssempaka served in many capacities at the state media corporation until 2017 when he retired.
Some of the positions included that of producer, anchor and presenter in his career that spanned four decades.
He was pronounced dead on November 7, 2018.
The veteran broadcaster succumbed to a heart attack.
