Fans Bash Tanzania’s Harmonize for Replacing Chameleone With Eddy Kenzo on “Inabana” Collabo

Fans from Uganda are not happy with Tanzanian singer Harmonize for replacing Ugandan star Jose Chameleone with Eddy Kenzo on his song “Inabana”.

Harmonize had earlier recorded the song with Jose Chameleone but the two would later have a disagreement, which made Chameleone abandon the project.

This website understands that Harmonize asked Chameleone for a music collaboration, which the Ugandan star accepted and both singers went to studio to record the song.

However, they would later disagree after Harmonize apparently asked Chameleone to share his plans on how they were going to promote the song. This did not go well with Chameleone who took it as familiarity.

“I have promoted my music for 20 years and a young man in his second career year asks me to share my plans so he can be sure I will do my best. I find that very disrespectful” an irritated Chameleone is said to have stated.

Harmonize on the other hand did not abandon the song. He went on to ask Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo to jump on the song, which he did.

Harmonize and Eddy Kenzo recorded the song and shot it’s video which was released recently.

The earlier version of the song featuring Chameleone also leaked, creating an environment of tension and leaving fans confused about what could have happened.

Fans have since blamed Harmonize for trying to disunite the Ugandan music industry.

“Harmonize is so childish. He should have recorded a different song with Eddy Kenzo,” said one fan on Facebook.

“I love Eddy Kenzo but the version with Chameleone is so massive,” another fan stated.

While some fans blamed Harmonize, others blamed Eddy Kenzo for being used to fight personal battles.

Harmonize’s action did not go well with Chameleone, who took to Instagram and blamed new artistes for being disrespectful.

“Some of these Lil’ Comrades keep forgetting we stood and represented African music between the analog and digital times! Joseph – Of all generations sir!!!! Been Private transport before Instagram and all these digital illusions,” Chameleone wrote on Instagram.

An innocent Eddy Kenzo was quick to come out on Social Media to clarify on the matter, saying he was not aware that Chameleone had earlier featured on the song.

In the video, Eddy Kenzo also mention how much he respects Jose Chameleone, affirming that he continues to fight for unity in Uganda’s music industry.

Another group of fans however said that since both songs have hit the airwaves, they should both be left to circulate so that the fans can decide which one is better.
