American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer Jidenna is in Uganda for his performance at the 2019 Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) which take place on Friday December 13th, 2019 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

The rapper who arrived in Uganda on Sunday morning, will also perform at the Blankets and Wine event slated for Sunday December 15.

While speaking at a press conference held at the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa in Kigo on Monday, Jidenna noted that he was amazed by Uganda’s beauty and hospitality of the people.

The rapper also promised to give a great performance at the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards where he is the headlining act.

“I am very happy to be in this beautiful country, I will be performing at the ASFAs and I can’t wait to have you guys,” he said.

Jidenna is well known for not only his long list of hit songs a but also his strong sense of fashion. The singer has over the years developed his personal style in college, where he learned about the power of fashion from his psychology professor Philip Zimbardo. He describes his fashion style as “heavily inspired by the Harlem Renaissance with hints of traditional West African design,” and a “marriage of European and African aesthetics.”

Real names Jidenna Theodore Mobisson, Jidenna his popular in Uganda for his hit song “Classic Man” and others like “Bambi”, “Yoga” ft. Janelle Monae and “Little Bit More” among others.

The popular rapper according to the ASFA organizers will be touring Uganda for the entire week before he performs at the event.
