Former Presidential Aspirant and leader of the Farmers Party Rtd. Maj. Gen. Benon Biraaro has passed on, The Tower Post has learnt.
Biraaro succumbed to colon cancer at Kampala Hospital where he had been admitted under critical conditions.
He died on Wednesday morning.
Before retiring to politics, Biraaro served in the Uganda People’s Defence force as the commandant of the Uganda Senior Command and Staff College in Kimaka, Jinja.
Born in 1958, Biraro died at the age of 62.
