The body of Ugandan cancer patient Carol Atuhirwe has arrived in Uganda this afternoon (Monday, June 5th 2017).
Atuhirwe who has been in India for close to a year died on Thursday at Narayana Hospital, in Bangalore, India where she had been admitted.
She died of cancer of the throat which she had battled for years.
The body touched down at Entebbe Airport at around 2:30PM aboard Emirates Airways and was received by family members, friends and others.
It was then transported to Masanafu by A-Plus funeral services. A vigil, according to a source close to the family, will be held at Masanafu tonight.
There will be a church service tomorrow, Tuesday June 6th 2017, at 10am, at All Saints Church Nakasero.
Thereafter, the body will be taken to her ancestral home, in Kabaare Village – Ishongororo, Ibanda District, where it shall be laid to rest on Wednesday, June 7th 2017 beginning at 12pm.
