News reaching us indicates that NTV Uganda’s Managing Director Ms Aggie Asiimwe Konde is out for a bigger job in Rwanda.

Ms Konde is set to quit her job at the Serena-based TV station after being appointed the new CEO of Msingi East Africa Limited in Rwanda.

Msingi East Africa Limited (Msingi) is an East African industry development and investment organisation aiming to support the growth of competitive industries in the region. It also covers Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

“We are confident that under her leadership, with the support of management and the board, Msingi will achieve its ambition of building East African industries for the future,” said Ali A. Mufuruki, the First Chairman of Msingi’s Board of Directors, in a statement.

Aggie konde took over from Mr Joe Munene as Managing Director of NTV Uganda in February 2013.

Before that, she had served as a brand and marketing manager at Crown Beverages Limited, the manufacturers of Pepsi.
