Residents of Gulu on Wednesday morning work up to shocking news of the shooting of the Acting District Police Commander (DPC) ASP Ayiki Joseph.
ASP Ayiki was shot in the wee hours of Wednesday by a private security guard at Taks Centre in Gulu.
The victim is said to have been climbing over the wall.
This website understands that the security guard was shooting at an intruder.
By publication time, ASP Ayiki had been transferred to St Mary’s Lacor hospital in critical condition as there was a low blood stock up and no x-ray machine where he had been rushed to.
Police has not spoken out about the incident.
