Pine Car Bond Proprietor Sebuwufu Found Guilty of Murder

High Court in Kampala has Monday found Pine Car Bond proprietor Muhammad Ssebuwufu and seven others guilty of murdering city business woman Donah Katushabe.

Sebuwufu and the seven others; Godfrey Kayiza, Philp Mirambe, Stephen Lwanga, Paul Tasingika, Yoweri Kitayimbwa, Damaseni Ssentongo and Shaban Otuddu have been convicted of three counts of murder, kidnap with intent to murder and aggravated robbery.

High Court Judge, Justice Anglin Ssenoga while convicting the eight, cancelled their bail and remanded them to Luzira Prison.

The group is said to have kidnapped Donah Katushabe in October 2015 and beating her to death over an accumulated  9 million shillings debt worth a car purchase from the car bond.

The judge convicted the accused saying prosecution had proved a proper case against them after placing all of them at the scene of crime.

The judge further stated that each of the 8 accused played a role that led to the death of Katusabe.
