Following his meeting with Electoral Commission and Police over his foiled consultation meetings, Bobi Wine has said he is going to draft a new schedule hoping that he won’t be interrupted.
Bobi addressed journalists at the People Power offices in Kamwokya after his meeting with EC. He told members of the press that police had agreed to have made some errors during the past few days.
Police blocked him from holding his planned consultative meetings on three counts; in Gayaza, Gulu and Lira. Police said he was not meeting the set requirements.
Bobi said the police was asking for ridiculous demands. But after the meeting at EC, they had agreed to be understanding since some demands were out of the law.
“In a few days, we shall issue a new schedule of consultations and make it public. We hope that police will stick by the commitments they have made in the meeting.”
