Their remarkable journey through the 7s series culminated in a circuit victory at the Kyabazinga 7s, solidifying their dominance in this year’s competition.
The final showdown of the campaign witnessed the Sea Robbers facing off against Buffaloes in the final of the Kyabazinga 7s at Bugembe Stadium, Jinja and they emerged the better side.
They consolidated their position, securing both the circuit triumph and the overall victory.
The Pirates’ relentless pursuit of excellence in this year’s campaign saw them claim victory in not one, not two, but three circuits throughout the series, amassing an impressive 134 points in the series log.
Their victory against their only competition—Heathens, in the quarterfinals of the Kyabazinga 7s, left no room for doubt, and they were named champions of the Nile Special 7s, before the end of the finale.
Their 134 points in the series standings placed them firmly ahead of the competition, with Heathens securing the second spot with 114 points, and KOBs claiming third place with 109 points.
With their trophy cabinet now boasting two prestigious additions this year—the fifteens league trophy and the 7s trophy, their sights are definitely set on the Uganda Cup,
The Pirates are on a mission to achieve a second treble, cementing their status as a best rugby side in the country.
