Miss Tourism Uganda has entered a strategic partnership with Egypt Air to promote tourism and cultural ties between Uganda and Egypt, officials announced on Tuesday.
The deal, described as a landmark agreement, is aimed at increasing the pageant’s international visibility while strengthening bilateral tourism through a joint venture framework.
As part of the agreement, Egypt Air will offer 12 air tickets to the winners of the 2026 and 2027 Miss Tourism Uganda editions to facilitate cross-border tourism promotion.

“This collaboration is a big step toward elevating Miss Tourism Uganda into a world-class tourism platform,” the pageant’s Relationship Manager said during the signing ceremony.
She emphasised the need for global partnerships to expand the reach and impact of Uganda’s tourism sector.
Egypt Air’s Country Manager, Kamal Ahmed, said the initiative is expected to boost passenger traffic between Kampala and Cairo and could lead to more frequent flights between the two capitals.

He added that the partnership would not only promote travel but also empower youth through exposure and skills development.
Due to this collaboration, Miss Tourism Uganda Nachap and Man of Tourism Amuriat were able to join the Embassy of Uganda in Cairo, with special appreciation to Gen Angina, to promote coffee and tea in the first-ever expo and foster long-term relations with the business community in Egypt.

The Miss Tourism Uganda 2026 grand finale is scheduled for September 4 at Serena Hotel in Kampala.
This year’s competition will run under the theme “AI, Tourism and Culture,” highlighting the integration of technology with cultural promotion.
