Police has swung into action arresting over 20 youths in Kamwokya as they protested the imprisonment of singer Bobi Wine at Mkaindye Military barracks.
Bobi Wine was Thursday charged with treason and unlawful possession of military ammunition at Gulu Court Martial and remanded to Makindye Military barracks until Thursday August 23rd.
This, Kamwokya youth didn’t agree with hence going to the streets to protest but police dispersed them with bullets and tear gas.
The youths however didn’t sit down as they woke up today to stage yet another protest, blocking off Old Kiira road with fires set in the middle.
Police has since deployed and protestors dispersed.
