Military and Police have deployed heavily at the offices of opposition National Unity Platform – NUP along Old Kira Road in Kamwokya.
Photos seen by The Tower Post show armored UPDF vehicles parked on the road side just across NUP party offices while others were seen patrolling around areas of Kamwokya.
This comes a day after military cordoned off NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi’s home in Magere, Wakiso District and hours to the swearing in ceremony of President elect, Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni.
Security officers on Monday also deployed at Col Dr Kizza Besigye’s home in Kasangati, a move they said was for his own good.
Museveni is slated to be sworn in on Wednesday May 12th at Kololo Independence grounds in a ceremony that will be attended by 4,042 people.
