Security Guard Shoots One Dead at Arua Park

One person was shot dead at Arua Park in Kampala as a security guard and police engaged traders who were protesting hiked rent fees.

The demonstration happened at Superior Building where traders protested the building owner’s decision to have all tenants pay rent in US Dollars as opposed to Uganda Shillings. 

The Tower Post has since learnt that a mob descended on the guard and killed him.
