Rwanda’s Coronavirus Cases Jump to 40

As the world continues to grapple with the novel Covid-19 pandemic, Rwanda has registered 4 new more cases of Coronavirus patients raising the number to 40.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of health in Rwanda on 23rd March 2020, They noted that two travellers arrived from Dubai. One from Brussels whereas the other contracted the disease from an infected patient in the country.

The ministry also informed in their letter to the public that the patients were in stable conditions and under isolation from the masses. They, however, called upon citizens to be more vigilant and wash their hands as much as possible in order to avoid the fast-spreading coronavirus.

Rwanda registered her index case on 14th March 2020.

The country has since taken draconian measures among which include halting worship places, bars, markets and a lockdown.
