FDC’s Amuriat Arrested Enroute to Kasese

Forum for Democratic Change – FDC Presidential flag bearer Hon Patrick Amuriat Oboi has Tuesday been arrested by Police, The Tower Post reports.

The FDC stalwart who is also the party’s President was arrested at Katunguru in Western Uganda as he headed for campaigns in Ntoroko, Bundibugyo and Kasese Districts.

Kasese is one of the 11 districts and cities where the Independent Electoral Commission suspended campaigns due to surging cases of Covid 19 but Amuriat and the FDC insisted they wouldn’t change their campaign schedules despite EC Directives.
