Horror hit Jinja town on Wednesday when a building that was under construction shattered and buried over 30 people on the site.
The incident happened at 5 pm along Gokale road. Last night police reported that it had rescued 12 people while many were still being searched.
According to the Jinja Resident District Commissioner, Erick Sakwa the accident happened due to poor engineering. He blamed the contractors for doing a shoddy job.
Reports suggest that the site engineer died last week implying that builders were going about the construction without a supervisor.
