Police Arrests Three People for Forging Movement Stickers

The Police have arrested three people for allegedly forging stickers to allow them to travel in their car during the ongoing lockdown imposed by the government to stem the spread of coronavirus.

The three were arrested during an operation on Jinja Road, Kampala on Tuesday. They include; Stephen Makanga, Ibrahim Bukenya, and Herbert Lukwago. They were travelling in a Toyota Premio reg no. UAX 655W.

The three claimed to have acquired the sticker from their boss whom they refused to name. They said they are builders.

While announcing a lockdown, President Museveni asked people to stay and only move out in case of an emergency. Only people providing essential services are allowed to move but after acquiring a sticker from the Ministry of Works.
